Riara Law School participation at WTO Moot Court Competition in Johannesburg
The European Law Student Association (ELSA) Moot Court competition held at the Nelson Mandela Institute of the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, was very successful. The competition was themed on the WTO Law.Riara University, represented by Miriam Maina, Maseka Kithinji and Valerie Mugaza, put up a sterling show during the event. Although the team did not make it to the finals, they nonetheless did Riara University proud, claiming a slot among serious law schools from across Africa. The finals will be held at the WTO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, in June this year.
Riara University featured impressively in an All-African event which raised the University and the Law School profile. Also the students had a lifetime learning experience where they had opportunities to network with international trade law experts, scholars and other participating universities. They were also awarded for participation.
